2 dogs (joint custody with ex-wife): **Katie** (AKC registered name Katie the Wonder Dog [ILP, that is]): officially registered as a border collie, but undoubtedly has some Australian shepherd and blue heeler (AKA Australian cattle dog) in her. She’s blue merle (black and white speckled) all over, with the exception of black ears and a black patch under one eye. Probably smarter than me. **Milo** (AKC registered name Bloom County’s Milo [ILP again]): Golden Retriever, probably with a little Chow or Samoyed (possibly both). He’s got a tail that curves over his back and a largish black patch on the bottom of his tongue. Sleeping at my feet as I write this; sweetest dog _ever_. 3 cats: **Tequila** : Gray tabby and white shorthair. Top cat, but terrified of the dogs. A bit overweight, mostly because he steals the other cats’ food. Most likely to sleep in bed with me (and attack my feet under the blanket). **Alex** : Persian cross tuxedo-kitty. _Very_ whiny, especially anywhere within two hours of mealtimes. Sweet when he wants to be, though. A big furball. Likes to lick bars of soap. **Fruitcake** : Maine Coon cat. Very fluffy brown tabby-ish fur. Skittish, but _extremely_ friendly if you’re sitting still, to the point where he won’t let you alone. My mom calls him “Sweetie-kitty”. Oddly, the least afraid of the dogs. ---
