Oh and how could I forget **Garp**! Once upon a time I fell HOH for “Victor” from Toronto who reminded me of Garp. Key largo eh! And much much later _The World According to…_ was on my bedstand both times I got pregnant! ---

I’m definitely with Johnny, too. He was so SWEET. But, all time falling in love? Holden Caulfield, hands down. **The Catcher In The Rye** was not only an amazing book, but Holden’s character was so complex, and perfect. _Perfect_. ---

I’m an Anne Rice junkie and I adore most of her male characters. Lestat, Louie and Lasher are my favorites though. (I must just like characters with L names too.) And call me a sickie but I had a crush on Dr. Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. But I think it’s more Anthony Hopkins than Dr. Lecter himself…Oh who cares, he’s still an old man! I’m still a sickie! 🙂 ---

Hmmmmm so many possibilities. First off, I definitely agree with **Jamie Fraser** of the _Outlander_ books and Heinlein’s **Lazarus Long** (thing for redheads I guess). But then again, blondes are great too… I recently read _Kushiel’s Dart_ and _Kushiel’s Chosen_ by Jacqueline Carey - all I can say is **Joscelin Verreuil**. Hot damn. ---

A certain someone has me ‘Happy as _H_arry’ and wishing I was 12 again. Well, not so much the one form the book, more the one from the film. She’s sooo cute. And has an extremely likeable personality and expressiveness. And, to clarify (because of the OP Subject line) It’s not Love it’s adoration. ---

John’s mother in _A Prayer for Owen Meany_ is beautiful (Owen says “SHE HAS THE BEST BREASTS OF ALL THE MOTHERS”), smart and a wonderful person. She takes the cake. Nobody beats John’s mother. If we’re going on pure hotness, Sally from _Catcher in the Rye_ and Ismene from Jean Anhouilh’s _Antigone_ seemed to be pretty damn hot. ---

For women I would have to go with **Kinsey Milhome** : Pi of the Alphabet Murders from Sue Grafton. Kinsey is utterly down to earth, upfront and a smeller of bullshit, smarter than most and from her description she sounds pretty cute (and pretty hard to get). Something about a woman like that appeals to me For a guy (in a strictly good pal sense) I got to go with Roland the Gunslinger from the Dark Tower Series. He is a interesting mix of a noble knight from the past and a ancient soul.
