I’ve lived without meaningful running water. I’ve lived without electricity. You get used to it quick and it’s not a big deal. But washing your clothes by hand _sucks_. It sucks more than using pit latrines or reading by candle light. And the damp mildew smell that line dried clothes get in all but the driest weather is disgusting. ---
