**tarra** , I really liked _Ordinary People_. Very Irvingesque. Speaking of books read recently, I never read _A Tale of Two Cities_ until about a month ago. I liked it much better than _David Copperfield_ which was the one I had to read in HS. **li-li** , just be glad you’re only a little bit preggers in the middle of summer. You’d really hate it if you had to lug around a giant hot water bottle in July and August. 😉 Um, was nobody taken by the Darth Vadar hot sauce cover? I thought that was tres chic and humorous. I dunno, I think **oso pantanoso** \* would look positively fetching as Goldilocks. Or Little Miss Muffett. With the blond curls and fluffy pantaloons. 😃 Can someone please give me a few more hours in the day today? I need to get more work done than I have time to do it, and without cloning myself I’m not sure how I’m going to do it. So, naturally, what do I want to do instead of working? Whoa, what happened to Monday? Yesterday afternoon was busy, and by the time I got home, I had to go to bed. At 7 pm. Anyway, late yesterday I get a call about a job. It sounded interesting, a newly created position, one where I could basically create my own job. Except that it’s in the East Bay, and only pays, well, what I’m making at my current assignment. No thanks. I’m not going to drive for an hour one way to make the same amount I can make 2 miles from home. Then I went to Michael’s to pick up yarn for the farting poodle. Sadly, the white yarn they had was grimy, so no white. I bought pink and black instead. A punk rock poodle! 😃 Or possibly a skunk or Darth Vadar, if I can find some non-grimy white yarn somewhere. Then I needed rhinestones and googly eyes. That was fun. Oh, and I had forgotten to get gas this weekend, and barely made it to the gas station, as my car was choking on fumes. That was embarrassing! :o I’ve never before gotten so low on gas that the idiot light came on. I didn’t even know my car \*had \* an idiot light. ---

Moneywise I think I’ll be okay for the time being - my parents are still helping me out, and in July I’ll have a tutoring job which won’t be as anal about payment, I think. My stupid ESL student (the only one in my Tues Thurs class) keeps calling me and asking me if I can move Tues class to Weds. I hate doing that because I have morning classes on Weds as well, which gives me an awkward amount of time between morning and evening. On the other hand, I don’t have any particular reason not to, and the guy works odd hours, so I’ve decided to be nice and comply. ---

Hot. Hot and sticky. Humid and miserable. Sorry. It gets frigging cold in winter, and bloody hot in summer. Toronto’s still fun to visit, but I can’t promise it will be anything like nice weather. We may be moving into another apartment in our building. Mr. Lissar went and saw it last night. It’s bigger than ours. I’ve still got to see it, but if there’s room for a washer, then we’ll take it. Moving within the building will be _much_ less work than moving outside. I am not looking at that pic. ---
