# What major US cities still allow smoking in bars/restaurants?

Ah, yes, Detroit, where one can still enforce one’s private property rights. Seriously, though, **gonzomax** , there are non-smoking bars and restaurants.

**Uncle Brother Walker** , factories in Wayne County (that’s Detroit’s county) are all non-smoking, and you must be clear of entrances by six feet or more. In fact, I think the only exception is bars and restaurants.
