Mr. AdoptaMom has a 21’ Cajun Special, which is a metal hulled power fishing boat, that he bought a year or so ago for $24,000.

In addition we spend:
Cost of insurance: 600 annually Cost of gasoline: 300 month (includes boat and truck for fishing trips only)
Cost of fishing stuff: $ 100 month

We haven’t even hit the maintenance phase yet, but in the past I learned it’s very easy to drop $1K on repairs & maintenance every six months or so.

Fishing is a **very** expensive hobby and between the boat note, gas, insurance, tackle, etc. we spend a pretty penny on it every month. You know what though? My husband is **happy**. He is truly at peace with the world when he has a rod and reel in hand, especially when there’s a big fish on the other end!

Worth every cent and then some!
