If you are headed to Trader Joe’s, just get their frozen pear-gorgonzola pizza and be done with it. It should pair fabulously with Pinot Grigio. IMHO of course.
That’s why a caprese salad is so easy to manage. Good roma or capri tomatoes, a good mozzarella, some fresh basil, and a nice olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste; man, it almost can’t be beat. You can make it for one, or 20.
Whoa. I would guess that a Cab would absolutely crush anything as light as a Caprese salad. I could maybe see a Zin, but I’d do Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc off the top of my head.
