What members can a band survive losing?

“Drama is definitely a better album than ABWH”? Well to each there own. My circle of Yes fans friends all think Drama is the worst Yes album and ABWH was better than Big Generator and Drama. A few like it better than Tormato. There are a few songs on that album that make it shine for me, but I understand their feeling.
ABWH use consummate Bassist Tony Levin to make the Album and I was fortunate enough to see them live with Tony. It was a very good album and great show.

Sorry, no, I didn’t. I was just responding to the portion quoted by ianzin. And strictly speaking, it was wrong, since Squire was never “replaced” in Yes. He was still in Yes when ABWH existed. This was the so-called “Yes West” lineup (with Billy Sherwood replacing Jon Anderson, and Bruce Gowdy briefly replacing Trevor Rabin), which never toured, but did record a few songs that later appeared on Union with Jon Anderson’s vocals overdubbed. Meanwhile, ABWH never officially had a bass player–Tony Levin (who deserved better) was credited as an “additional musician.”

You have me there Biffy. As you said, Squire was never replaced in Yes.

I must say it is great finding someone who knows more YesTrivia than I do.
