A little off-topic, I know, but as for which race I prefer, realistically, I would have to say Human, but Elves have that certain exoticness about them, you know? Of course, Human/Elf relationships always end tragically… Yarster, as to your “less is more” idea there, Chaucer came up with that same idea, centuries ago-- Look for it in “The Wife of Bath’s Tale” (I think) from _Canterbury Tales_. ---

The lyrics deliberately opposes the dominant culture’s “beauty myth” as represented by “Cosmo,” “Playboy,” “36” 24" 36"" and “Fonda.” While it is a protest against a master narrative of sexual attractiveness, it reduces women’s beauty to a sexual object of possession. One particular example of this is the repeated bull-whip sound played at the end of many lines as well as the bed-creaking sound effect which plays throughout. While the objectifying message is particularly aggressive, credit should be given for it’s affirmation of more natural beauty. I do not believe there is any racial basis to personal preferences. My roommate and I are both white males of mostly Anglo-Saxon descent. I personally, am attracted to a pretty face and alluring scent. My roommate only requires a pulse. Go figure.
