Someone’s already mentioned **Minority Report** and **Vanilla Sky** , two films I tried watching on DVD. But am I the first to ring in with **Pennies From Heaven**? What an utter waste of celluloid. It’s the only movie I’ve ever walked out on. And I’ve sat through Andy Warhol’s **Frankenstein** and **Dracula**. ---

The trailers must have been a bodacious lie. 😃 [/QUOTE] Well, when you consider it’s an Andy Warhol film, it’s easy to see it’s part of the whole ‘what defines art’ thing that was going on in the sixties and seventies. begin with the sort of pretensions that people have accused other boring films in this thread of having, and then put the pretensions on steroids, and you’ll get an idea of what the audience for that film seems to have been. 😃 ---

It’s a rare movie that would make me wish for the time back – I have a great love of Bad Films, and have a Bad Film Festival every year. Nevertheless, I have a particular loathing for movies that friends drag me to, especially if they haven’t seen them themselves. _The Little Shop of Horrors_- the only film (in a theater) I’ve ever walked out of. _Moulin Rouge_- nearly made me become epileptic. The first of the \*Lord of the Rings \* trilogy, can’t remember the exact title- I understand this is heresy around these parts, but I hated it. _Monster in Law_- on a recommendation of a coworker. Alas, I have actually seen _Ecks vs. Sever_. In its entirety, on the big screen. Numero Uno on the Rotten Tomatoes worst 100 list, and completely deserving of the honor. _Ultraviolet_ was horrendous, too. Mind you, I thought I was going in with sufficiently low expectations. I was so very, very wrong. ---

**The Perfect Storm** is the first one that springs to my mind. I didn’t walk out of it, but wish I had. I liked the book, the movie was dreadful. ---

There are a lot of terrible movies listed that I don’t want my 2 hours back from. If a movie is so bad it elicits a terrible response from me it gives me something to complain about for a good long time which is well worth it. The ones that I want 2 hours back from are the ones that serve no purpose to me. I suppose it has potential to provide someone else’s life with some sort of benefit, but not mine. What immediately comes to mind is **Anything directed by Atom Egoyan**. I just get so freakin’ bored watching his movies. And it isn’t like I don’t appreciate a slow pace. Hell…I loved **Gerry** and **Elephant** for crying out loud and there isn’t a slower pace than that. I realize that because I’m Canadian I’m obligated to like anything he does, but screw that. The Tragically Hip, Brian Mulroney, and Darcy Tucker are Canadian and I don’t much care for any of them either…so there. Sorry about the little rant there. ---

I’ve never muched liked watching movies in theaters. I am perfectly content to wait a couple of extra months and then rent the flick. That being said I have only walked out of one movie at the theater. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I felt nauseated just watching it. If that is what being on drugs is like then I am perfectly content with my bride alcohol. ---
