When Mr. 'addi and I plunk down $18 at the ticket window we usually stay till the credits finish rolling. I’m amazed at some of the crap we’ve sat all the way through: Godzilla, Armageddon and Sphere, for example (there should be an ennui smilie).

Well, we’re getting old and time is precious, so lately we’re much more inclined to bolt. The last movie we bailed on, after an excruciating 45 minutes, was **The Matrix: Reloaded**.

How about you?

I’ve never walked out on one but I did have one put me to sleep. That was either **Out of Africa** or **A Passage to India** , can’t remember which.

I’ve fallen asleep in two ( **Popeye** and **Zelig** ), but only walked out on one – **Caligula**.

Hm, wonder what it is about one-word movie titles…

I generally only go to a movie theater to see somthing that “has to” be seen on a big screen, otherwise I wait for DVD. This cuts down the number of films I see in theaters…some films (LOTR and Master and Commander, etc.) need to be seen in all their glory.and some of the stuff (Matrix, etc.) I go in knowing full well the movie will probably be crap, but I want to see the special effects.

However, I have shut off DVD’s after a short period - most recently **2 Fast 2 Furious** that really was 2 horrible to sit through, and I regret not having shut off **Legally Blonde II**. So does that qualify as a "walk out’?

SHREK. The continuous belching/farting jokes (when will this crass, tiresome trend in so-called children’s films end??), the oh-so-cool-and-knowing inappropriate side-of-the mouth comments and the bird’s egg ending up in the frying pan ensured my walking out of this cynical, depressing Hollywood product.

The only one I can recall walking out on was _Prizzi’s Honor_. I kept looking at my wife and she would be watching the movie, whenever she looked at me I was watching the movie. At some point we caught one anothers eye and discovered neither of us was enjoying it and left. I saw _Operation Kid Brother_, one of the worst films of all time, with a friend. I wanted to leave but he insisted on staying because “we paid for this”. We were in a huge old style cinema with about 10 other people. We listened to the radio, smoked cigarettes and yelled out comments at the movie. So did most of the other 10.

The first movie I ever walked out on was **The Black Hole** (1979). Disney hyped this film as better than Star Wars, but it was so incredibly lame compared to Stars Wars that it was embarrassing. I’ve been leery of Disney productions ever since.

The first **Charlie’s Angels** and **Cat’s and Dogs** are the more recent ones. Fortunately, I usually don’t make the same mistake twice, so I skipped C.A. II.

And then there are the ones that you stubbornly sit through, foolishly hoping in vain that they’ll get better before they end: _Exit Wounds, Shaft, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever_.

After that list, you probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you that I rarely pick duds.

**Cavegirl** I went to see it on an afternoon. The guy that takes the tickets said, “This movie is really bad. If you decide that you want to go into another theatre, I won’t say anything.”

The only movie I have ever walked out on was **Starship Troopers**. I don’t have a weak stomach, but I was literally _gagging_, and had I not left I would have actually vomited right in the theater.

I have only walked out on one film, & it was so dull that I demanded my money back from the theatre manager. _And got it!!_

Disney’s _Mighty Joe Young_. I f#$%ing hate Eisner for that travesty, because I love the original film.

**Congo**. Watched it the whole way through years later with some friends making very MST3K type comments, & it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. So. Very. Baaaaaad.

Mr. Bunny & I shut off a lot of rented movies when they suck, though. Most recently, the second **Matrix** movie. I could not shut up about how badly that movie both sucked _and_ blew for weeks, until I hurt some feelings of those who, god help them, _liked_ it. I can’t imagine. We also had to turn off **Nekromantic**. It was just too much.

I tried to walk out of Batman And Robin, but my boyfriend at the time was a bit controlling and wouldn’t let me go, even after I tried to buy my freedom with all the cash in my wallet.

My current boyfriend and I turned off Crash. I’m okay with people and their fetishes, but it was too depressing to watch people not even get any real pleasure from their fetish. The unsexiest thing, to me, is when people take sex really, really seriously. Oh, and when we rented it I had forgotten that I am irrationally terrified of car accidents.

That’s all. Actually, there are a bunch of rentals I’ve stopped, but I can’t really remember them all. Except Buffalo 66. Woo, that was bad.

I went to see **Spawn** with a couple of friends, only because one of them was paying for my ticket. 2 of us left after 20 minutes or so and waited around outside the theater for the others to finish watching the movie and meet us.

_Underworld_. We sat through the first hour or so, hoping it would get better, but it didn’t.

I don’t think I’ve ever walked out of a movie, but have fallen asleep in three of them. The first one was The Matrix (yeah, the first one). I felt dizzy just trying to keep up, and hated the movie after the first three minutes. I got talked into seeing this one, because I already knew I’d despise it simply because Keanu “DUDE!” Reeves was in it. I would rather listen to glass shatter repeatedly than watch anything he’s in.

The second was The Haunting. I was yawning so hard I could barely keep the top of my head from falling off. Next thing I know my sister is elbow-jabbing me to wake up. Kind of bugged me about that one. I really like Liam Neeson, and that movie was so boring I couldn’t even concentrate on him!

The third was Daredevil. Actually, I try not to count this one. I was already hungover in the first place, so it may not have been the movie’s fault I nodded out.
