We lost our entire music collection in the fire, decades of filk, gone. I put on Meg Davis’s _Captain Jack And The Mermaid_ on Amazon Prime not long ago and “My Winter Rose” is currently playing. I’ll probably put on Fish’s _Avalon Rising_ next. Added to say-“Other People’s Children” just came on, a memory of sitting at her feet as she sang this at a filk circle many years ago just came to me, and I think I’m going to cry. ---

KCSM jazz in San Francisco is streaming on the Sonos, as it is every day. Except Sunday morning when they play old timey jazz (20s, etc), which I dislike. Then it’s whatever we’re in the mood for from our iTunes library. Now that you mention it, it sounds familiar to me too. I listened to the start of “Love Shack”, and the drum intro is quite similar, but not identical. I can’t put my finger on which song it reminds me. ---
