Evidently, Kari, Grant and Tori were busting a myth of some sort when they [fired a 30-pound cannonball through a house and into a minivan.](http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2011/12/apologetic-mythbusters-talk-about-cannonball-accident-.html)
Does anyone have any idea what myth they were busting?

Not so fast. I saw that other thread too. Nobody really quite asked, nor answered, the question: Just what myth were they busting? (Yet.) So I put up a post there asking this same question. (Haven’t gotten back there yet to see if any answers yet.)

This article claims they were calibrating a canon against water barrels in order to later test if a historical canon could break through castle walls.
