# What needs to change to prevent a repeat of the past four years?

There is much popular support for Democrats. Unfortunately there are also an awful lot of Republicans. It is not a stretch to think that disgusted Republicans voting for Biden helped him win.

Update on this:

The strike has been settled. Teamsters local 202 seems to be happy with the accord that was reached.

I don’t know how much difference it made, but the physical presence of at least two members of the House of Representatives (Reps. Torres and Ocasio-Cortez) on the picket line couldn’t have hurt. It sends the right signal to the employer.

I hope to see a lot more of this. I think the Democratic Party’s embrace of Wall Street and benign neglect (at best) of labor has cost them a lot, and it’s time to turn that around.
