What NOT To Do When You're In The Middle Of A Heart Attack

Glad you are OK, jayjay.

I may have posted this story before: A colleague of mine was on his commute home, felt tingling in his hand and arm, and decided to get off the freeway at the next exit. He drove to the first parking lot he came to with people in view, stopped the car, lowered his window, handed someone his cell phone, and said “Help me, please! I think I am having a heart attack”, then passed-out.

When he came to, he learned that the woman he gave his phone to had immediately called 911, and in a few minutes an ambulance was there, and he was taken to the nearby hospital, where he recovered (I do not remember the details of his recovery).

He said that woman saved his life, and I thought he saved his own life, by making the right decisions when he knew he was in trouble. I think that is the tough part for many, including jayjay (and probably me as well, even tho I have never been in that situation) is knowing when you are in trouble, and need help.
