There was a story on our local news about this last week. They said the stuff like “misshapen” or “slightly stained” was sent to Africa, but quite a bit had to be thrown away, at a cost of $1million/year. They throw away anything torn, ripped or broken.
Seriously, they say that about American women too, that the majority are wearing the wrong size bra and should get measured. I say that doesn’t solve the problem when two bras of the same size fit me totally differently. :smack:
That’s the case at the thrift store here that I mentioned. They get so much stuff that they drive truckloads to the dump. When they are ony going to use a fraction of it, it saves them time if you just dump the chaff yourself. I know we must be very fortunate here; there is real stratification and the folks who replaced their wardrobe every year pass the old one on.
Perhaps a handy chart converting D-cups into… litres… gills… fluid barrels…
Hrm. I find I’m sadly undereducated on British women’s breast sizing. I should do something about that.
