A hollow, transparent glass bust of a human head. A stuffed armadillo. A box full of fossilized clams. A Sorajima “Sexy Robot” poster (framed). Some Alphonse Mucha replica prints/posters (also framed). A talking alarm clock, that crows like a rooster to wake you up. ---

I wouldn’t mind having an ejection seat from an A-7E…how’d you come to own that one, **Johnny LA**? My odd stuff? Some of it may not seem so odd here… An un-opened can of Billy Beer A rock from the shore of Loch Ness (actually, my wife brought that one back…I skipped one _into_ the Loch…) A stuffed Intel “bunny suit” man…who is apparently intended to be a keychain, even though he’s way too big. ---

I don’t think this is odd but many people seem to disagree. I own 7 Beta VCRs, 6 working, (2 currently for sale). Taped 2 progs. to SuperBeta in the last day. ---

Not exactly mine (they belong to Mr. Tupug, but there is that community property thing) a pair of two inch long Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake fangs and the rattle. They get trotted out every time we have visitors who think all of Florida is like Disney World. ---

The Crabifix. It’s an _objet d’art_ that someone bought me at a garage sale. A crucifix made of a crab claw. The claw is pointing down, so the tips are Jesus’ legs. His head is painted onto the joint above the claw. Two flippers make his arms. He’s mounted on a wooden cross, which is in turn mounted on a ceramic tile. To make it even more religious, there’s a “praying hands” sticker on the tile in front of the cross. It’s truly a thing of beauty. ---

I have: - A rock with the word OKAY carved into it. - A Doraemon Bingo Machine - Japanese Smelling Felt Pens - they are 14 years old and STILL smell!! - Eight packs of stickers with the name ‘Laura’ on them. - A clock made from cigarettes and a cigarette packet crafted by my own fair hand. - Fake grapes - An abandonded railway station wagon - A 10 hand high 38 year old antisocial disabled horse called Mr. Wraith. The chicken-leg candlesticks. Oddest damn things I’ve ever seen. They’re made of golden metal and quite heavy. One stands two feet hight, the other about 3 feet. They rest on a three-toed claw and near the top it kinda flairs out a little into a leg. There’s no markings of any kind on them, so I have no idea who thought it was worth making. Other odd things: a letter from Larry (“Beanworld”) Marder that’s a beautiful piece of art; my press pass from the U2 “ZooTV” tour; a House of Representatives press pass signed by Thomas Eagleton; the January 1941 issue of “Mechanix Illustrated” and an “Asteroid Al’s” bar clock from New Hong Kong (done in the style of the Hard Rock Cafe logo). ---

I have a lot of _old_ wierd things around like: - a shruken head movie prop from 1931 - a 1919 “girlie-nudie” picture book - _Fashion Photographic Plates For Reference and Print-Making_ - a 1922 “boy-nudie” picture book - _Muscular Development of the Male Physique_ - a mason jar full of pickled eggs from the 1940’s - all painted up to look like eyeballs - a 1929 typewriter with three “A” keys (all in a row - AAA instead of ASD) - a roll of Scotch tape from 1945 - a metal box of Band-Aids from 1935 … and my very first portable CD player (it still works) that cost me over $450 back in 1980 - similar model today goes for about $35 in a bubble pack at the check-stand of the local supermarket! ---

I have… …a Schilling Dill Weed spice bottle filled with ash from Mt. St. Helens that I got from a great aunt’s backyard. …a big roll of red tickets that my brother gave me. ('coz you never know when you’re gonna need a lot of tickets!) …a plastic wind-up hen that poops egg-shaped gumballs that I got from an aunt (a different one). …a 1.5-inch cube of solid green marble. …an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile-shaped whistle that I got while touring the Wienermobile last summer. It has a little loop for you to hang it by a cord around your neck. (Eat your heart out.) …a black rubber rat that sings “Wild Thing” when you press its paw. Its eyes are red lights that blink to the melody (another gift from the gumball-pooping chicken aunt). ---

Anyone still have those little baby sharks that are in the glass jars? I think my mom bought mine in miami when I was A kid.I also have just about every glowing flashlight toy that you can buy at the circus ( my favorite is called a ziki bird I think) ---

A funeral notice for Donna Reed and a thank you card from her husband, Grover Asmus. Mr Asmus even wrote a note in the thank you card. Ms. Reed and my late mother-in-laws were close friends. A stereograph and about 100 viewing cards. All is in a nice oak box. A skunk collection of over 200 pieces. My wife has a mouse collection of over 1000 pieces. Now she is on a frog kick. My collection of NASCAR diecast cars and other racing related items numbers almost 3000 pieces. I also have a Crayola crayon collection of over 700 crayons. The oldest are from 1923. I have a large piece of styrofoam painted to look like a boulder. Back in the late 70’s, Ted Nugent was using these things as a prop. He’d swing out on a vine dressed in nothing but a loincloth, then throw these things out into the audience. Mine was unused after a show and they were throwing it away. ---

Oh, I just remembered another one. A styrofoam head from a wig shop I bought it to be part of a Halloween costume, but I haven’t been to a costume party since I got it. I should probably put the gas mask on it and pose it on a table somewhere. ---
