I gotta admit, I’d never thought of this question before. There are people who horde porn but don’t watch it? News to me. ---

Let me guess, somebody got their porno stash revealed, and claimed not to ever watch it. That’s called “a big-ass lie”. OK, it’s possible he simply got tired of that bunch, and hence doesn’t use it anymore. So it’s possible. But it’s probably a lie. ---

No, more like he downloads it constantly but never ever watches it. Like, ever. He doesn’t get up early in the morning or late at night, and he’s pretty lax when it comes to hiding it, and there’s mountains of it, and I’ve seen him downloading it numerous times but never watching it. I’m also in the computer room for most of the day regardless of whether or not I’m using the computer. There is simply no way he could actually be watching the stuff, unless he is burning it to CDs and taking them to work or something ( :eek: ). So I would like to know what the hell he does with it please. ---

Probably a collector mentality. Just like stamps, coins, or toothpick holders. Saving up for a rainy (make that horny) day. And guys have something in their brain that makes them want to keep looking at new nakedness instead of the same old nakedness over and over. ---

Porn quality varies and tastes are fickle. If he’s downloading it through one of those peer to peer things, the majority of what he’s getting is crap, and the good stuff might not fit his tastes. So while there is time available, he grabs as much as he can. When his job is _at hand_, he’ll go through, find the good new ones, skip or delete the bad ones, and be done with it. Consider the search to be masturbatory foreplay. ---

Perhaps he’s trying to stockpile as much porn as he can before the govt. cracks down further and cuts off the supply entirely (or so he fears). ---

I got my husband a porn tape, but it really sucked. We tried to watch it and couldn’t stop laughing. It wasn’t because of the plot (as if we’d expect porn to have one) - it was the sex. They sounded so stupid when they were talking to each other during sex. Anyway, we’re not quite sure what to do with it now - do we throw it away? Do we try watching it again and hope it wasn’t really as bad as we thought? Maybe sell it on ebay? Hmmm… Quite the dilemma. ---

I know someone with a porn compulsion. It’s like he has this fear that there is a piece of porn out there somewhere he hasn’t seen, and might miss. This causes him a not insignificant amount of anxiety, and so he spends every minute of free time downloading every piece of porn he can. He’s not really a hoarder I don’t think, but like **js\_africanus** said, it’s easier to just save it than bother deleting it, at least until his hardrive fills up. Honestly, if his computer crashed and he lost it all, it wouldn’t bother him, as he’s seen it once. He doesn’t even whack off to it, he just has to see it once. He gets something like 500 emails per day from various porn email lists, with either pictures attached, or links to videos. While he’s plowing through that, he’s also on the P2Ps downloading everything he can. I dunno. I’m an avid gardner, and if I could, I’d grow every single type of plant possible, at least once, just so I could say I did. To each his own. ---
