Earnest Hemingway. There’s a bar that was called Sloppy Joe’s (now Capt. Tony’s Saloon) in Key West and the sign on it said Hemingway spent a few years in there over the '30s. I have a litho of the bar in my bathroom and I associate it with the 30s now. ---
