I recently heard that they are going to do a pre-quel version of this. I assume the landing of the ship or something. Haven’t heard anything since,

IMDB does have a small page devoted to it.

You may or may not have heard that Red Dawn is being remade.

North Shore. Turtle takes over as legendary board maker and surf Yoda. He has a dozen little half-breed kids with Kiani, because she sent the wave-pool wuss back to Arizona. A new haole comes to Hawaii to try his luck and spends half of the movie trying to translate Turtle’s half-baked wisdom.

TRADING PLACES 2: Following the government’s $250 billion bailout of Duke & Duke, leadership of the “too big to fail” firm is chosen by a reality show in which Billy Ray Valentine, Louis K. Winthorpe IV is chosen to be CEO. Unfortunately his son, Louis K. Winthorpe V, who sided with his mother (Jamie Lee Curtis) in the nasty split up, has him framed and disposessed, so old pal Billy Ray Valentine (now dictator of a small country in South America) must come rescue Louis and the economy. But ultimately he decides not too because after a successful cornering of the commodities market he and Louis realized they had next to nothing in common to build a friendship on and thus it’s a very short movie (about 8 minutes).
