What places in the world don't need air conditioning?

One country with many cities that do not need air condition is Colombia. Being on the Equator it does not really have seasons, and the climate depends on the altitude. Bogotá, the capital, for example at 2640 meters above sea level is pretty much cool all-year round and I don’t remember seeing any air conditioning even in buildings. Medellín being lower in elevation is warm all-year round, but rarely anything extreme though of course with climate change it is changing. Once you get to lower elevations you do see the air conditioners especially as you get closer to sea level.

I imagine the same is true for neighboring countries along the Andes.

Yes, that’s a lovely temperature. I never turn the thermostat above 72, and My bedroom (where i mostly sleep or have warm covers) is set to 60 in the winter. I really like cool air when i sleep. And when I’m exercising, i crank down the temp in the basement to 68.
