What pop culture items would you add to the Smithsonian?

Or some Slim Jims the museum attendees can snap into!

One of the raptor eggs from Jurassic Park.

The Batmobile

Nobody has mentioned an “Alien”! An egg or the face-hugger would also be good, and Ripley’s loader was impressive.

Pee Wee Herman’s Suit and those white platform shoes.

The Dukes of Hazard Car.

A recording or video of a Wolfman Jack show. Damn he was good.

An episode of Elvira hosting a horror show. She is the Mistress of the Dark after all. By the way if you are Elvira email me your great and would love to hear from you.

She was at Dragon-Con in Atlanta a couple of years ago and, I’m glad to say, had a really long line. So many of the autograph sellers in the room were sad: there would be a larger than life picture of them in their signature role from their heyday above and then their mummy underneath, unrecognizable due to age and physical condition and being in street clothes, pitifully signing autographs; Elvira was not only in her full drag but even up close she still looks damned good (some well concealed crow’s feet and that’s it). And very gracious to her fans to boot.

We all age. She’s still great.

Flavored condoms.

It was a standard USAF A-2 flight jacket. Winkler thought Fonzie would wear leather instead of a gray or red windbreaker like the network wanted and bought it himself. The network said Fonzie could only wear leather when he was on his bike, so for most of the first seasons, the only time you saw Fonzie was on his bike.

Another for the Automotive Wing: the Family Truckster.

The gaudiest Wurlitzer juke box from the '40s still in existence. Unless they have one.

One of Les Nessman’s band-aids.
Bailey Quarters’ glasses.
Johnny Fever’s coffee mug.

Hm. I seem to be on a WKRP kick right now.

Next to the stair car. You might get some hop-ons, though.

A lifesized Bender. (From Futurama)

Sam and Deans’ Impala for the auto wing. (Supernatural)

Since the Liberace museum has closed they should have at least on of his more outlandish costumes on display, or maybe the rhinestone Rolls.

How much space have we got to work with here?

If it’s a lot, how about the Field of Dreams?

Andy’s badge and Barney Fife’s gun (and one bullet).

I can see the picket-line now . . .

And Riff Raff’s and Magenta’s space outfits and rayguns!

A few more:

A black suit, black tie, black fedora, white shirt, black shoes and dark glasses from The Blues Brothers
A red, long sleeve polo shirt, white pants and sailor hat that Gilligan wore and maybe the Skipper’s outfit too
A replica of Willie Nelson’s guitar, Trigger
Desi Arnaz’ drums from I Love Lucy
The piano from the living room of Two and a Half Men
An itsy, bitsy, teeny, weenie, yellow polka dot bikini
Giant Monopoly playing pieces
