# What products do you only buy the name brand of?

Ugh. My (first) stepmother used to work for Kraft back in the 1970’s and she brought home a bunch of crappy flavored peanut butters that sat in the pantry for 2 years while my father insisted he wouldn’t buy any peanut butter until the stuff was eaten.

It took him to divorce her before he started buying me my Jif. Not knowing or caring what went on their relationship, I think the banana-flavored peanut butter alone was grounds for divorce. 😛

ETA: We lived in the ATL at the time.

Weird I thought I knew most of the Canadian only brands but I missed that one.  
Apologies to the Americans for besmirching their peanut butter choices 🙂

I don’t think I have, either. I’ve lived in Maryland and WV, as well as doing some major grocery shopping in PA and VA.

Ketchup - Heinz  
Toothpaste - Colgate  
OJ - Tropicana  
Cornflakes - Kellogs

That’s about it, I think. Everything else is whatever is on sale. And I buy the last two in the list exceedingly rarely.
