Read that part you quoted. It is a limitation on what the States can do. Last time I checked no state was holding anybody at gitmo.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t support the admins actions I just don’t think your argument is valid. Your point is but not your reasoning.

And until the “enemy combatants” in question gets the chance to apply your own “anything goes if they aren’t our people” attitude to you and yours. “Torture is bad unless we do it” isn’t an attitude that’s going to do anything but make you look like an idiot and a thug.

I agree that I should have placed this thread in the General Question forum…and I can accept the fact that I jumped te gun a little when I made my initial post but geeze why do some people insist on being dicks here?

ManiacMan, if you want to ask a question (GQ), seek opinions (IMHO), or initiate a discussion (GD), you would be much better off actually taking the time to think about what you want, formulating an actual question, and providing sufficient text to give your audience some understanding of what you seek.

You have failed miserably in this case and I am putting this thread out of my misery.

(You would also do well to resist the urge to make snide remarks to other posters who are actually attempting to figure out what you are trying to say or are attempting to provide the coherence to your thread that you failed to do, yourself.)
