Yeah, that’s the one. Haven’t read the book; I’ll have to give it a try.
Sure, some folks call it that. mmmhmmm
I’ve seen Tombstone at least 5 times and never realized the card dealer was BBT.
Why? If you’ve bought the movies on these platforms at any point, you’d be able to watch them. And if anyone has a DVD or BR of it, for $2 they can transfer it to Vudu via disc-to-digital today.
I saw “Sling Blade” in the theater when it first came out, and my pastor actually considered showing it for the Movie Night we had at the time, but other parishioners who had seen it thought it was a bit outside our wheelhouse. It’s definitely a good movie.
And if you can’t find something via streaming, etc. don’t hesitate to inquire at the library. They can use interlibrary loan if they don’t have it.
I’m not saying that these are illegitimate in the sense that it is unethical to watch them. I’m just saying that they are not from any legal rights holder. Somebody uploading a pirated copy to VUDU is not the same thing as a sanctioned stream that the general public could find with their set top box.
If you don’t know what Vudu is, just say so. Vudu is an online media company owned by Fandango, previously owned by Walmart. Content purchased there is most certainly legitimate and sanctioned, and in no way is pirated. YouTube is also where you watch movies/TV that you’ve legitimately purchased via Google Play.
To be fair, he put on some weight at that point, either for the role or just from too many cheeseburgers. I think the former, as he wasn’t supposed to look lean and mean, but rather like a paunchy phony.
Honesty forces me to admit that, while I found those Amazon/Vudu/YouTube links, I did not actually click through as far as to make an actual purchase (or on any of the obvious advertisement-based pirate sites, for that matter) so I cannot confirm whether any of them actually stream the movie versus just coming up with a “This video is not available in your area”-type error. I assumed that was maybe a glitch or there was really something up with my area for some odd reason. Mea culpa and I apologize if anyone wasted some frustrating moments. Then again maybe someone was able to stream successfully?
You can’t “upload a pirated copy” to Vudu. That’s not how Vudu works.
“Sling Blade” is also not even available to rent/buy on Vudu, so I don’t know why that was even mentioned to begin with, but if it were that would be totally 100% legitimate.
I’d just assumed they are getting it mixed up with Vimeo.
I do that all the time, as Vudu is not something I ever use.
Speaking of BBT, it’s interesting how he gets Robert Duvall in small role as Karl’s father, and returns the favor with a small but important role in Duvall’s The Apostle.
There’s these two fellers, standing on a bridge, going to the bathroom.
One feller says that the water is cold, the other feller says that the water is deep.
I believe one feller come from Arkansas.
Get it?
Love that Carl version!
Yeah, my bad. I was definitely thinking of what Vimeo was before this recent strategy pivot.

For a second, I was wondering how Chuck Lorre got Robert Duvall to guest star in The Big Bang Theory.

I was wondering how Chuck Lorre got Robert Duvall to guest star in The Big Bang Theory.
It would have been awesome!
Billy Bob Thornton himself guest starred on The Big Bang Theory. Acronym jokes may now commence.
