The only thing that should be controlling planes is god. A prayer at the beginning of the flight, and as it makes its emergency descent, is all any true American flight should have.
It gets worse when you realise this speech was the address to the nation, just 12 hours after the incident. ALL the president ever needs to say in that context is:
- We are shocked and saddened
- We have the right people investigating what happened and we will find answers
- Our hearts go out to the friends and families of the victims
