What should I look for in a dog?

Plenty of folk keep puggies in the south (just don’t roust them around in the full heat of day a lot). In case you are still interested, here’s some data:

Pug dog clubs can also connect you up with pug dog rescue societies so that you may get a pug for less $ and also rescue one from the pound. Bonne chance!

The neighbor’s cat.

I’ll second the vote on Cocker Spaniels. These dogs are generally well behaved, like people, and very long lived. You can expect a cocker to live to its late teens, and 22 to 24 years is not unheard of.

Second choice is the pound pup. And make it a terrier. They have such wonderful personalities.

Well, he/she should be omnipotent, all knowing and all understanding. He/she should be fair, not too restrictive, but ever-so-slightly intimidating, well moreso assertive so as to earn the respect of followers rather than ruling via instilling fear. Oh and there’s got to be a bible or some kind of doctrine, I can’t stress that enough.

Hey that tasted funny. OK who put the dyslexia pills in my coffee.

Sombody here always says “the best cats in life are free”
Same with dogs.

A roommate of mine had a dog that would eat its own crap and then throw it up. Don’t get one of those.

Look for a dog with a small appetite and a mixed diet while weaning.

Doesn’t make sense now, but it will the first time you run out of the favorite feed.
