Im going up there in the end of July and will only need my hiking boots, and a pair of shorts for all the wallowing in the hot springs. ---

A simple first aide kit with bandaids, tylenol/motrin, antibiotic ointment, pepcid, etc. A sewing kit with thread, needles, safety pins, etc. ---

I’ve visited Iceland several times. (I live in the US). The list above (except for the Elf-away) is good. The only think I can remember regretting was an unbelted trenchcoat. I thought a rainproof coat with a zip-out lining would be perfect. I forgot about the mighty winds that blow! That damned coat flapped and flapped and sometimes made it hard to walk. Next trip, I took a hip covering jacket that fit somewhat snugly around my bottom. No flapping fabric and a warm tush! ---
