I really like this, even though it goes against all my grains. It’s funny!
I thought I read it here, perhaps it was on Reddit, that the contraceptive funding was not exempt for Hobby Lobby the way that is popularly believed…it is still essentially covered. Can’t find link ATM, sorry. However, even if they weren’t covered, the Pill (multiple variants I’ve had without insurance) is still really cheap–$30 or less a month going “bare.” My apologies for expounding in the wrong thread, but I’m curious as to what the OP wants, period.

I am not entirely comfortable with the Hobby Lobby decision at all because of the precedent that it sets. I still stand with the fact that you can protest in front of Hobby Lobby all day and accomplish precisely zero. What is your point? Are you trying to make the local news or something?
More importantly, what exactly are you protesting? I used to work for a newspaper that got protested all the time and whenever I would ask the protesters what their point was, most really had a vague clue of what they were bitching about. How about you, what is it that Hobby Lobby has done to get this protest?

I am Christian, but I am uncomfortable with this decision. However, my ire lies with the Supreme Court and not Hobby Lobby. In all reality, their noted exception with several types of birth control is somewhat understandable. For the SP, however, to allow companies to exclude themselves from the law based on ‘beliefs’ is a bad, bad idea.

Perhaps I was going to protest without knowing all the facts. I would probably be more active in voicing my opinion if I could get around, but Hobby Lobby is in an area I feel safe driving. I never picketed anything in my lifetime. To be honest, I thought it would be an interesting experience. I wont go, however, if contraceptive funding is covered.

Then why isn’t your ire directed at Congress?
They passed the law that said: “Government shall not substantially burden a person’s exercise of religion even if the burden results from a rule of general applicability…”
The Supreme Court simply looked at that law and said, “Well, Congress made a law that said government shall not substantially burden a person’s exercise of religion even if the burden results from a rule of general applicability, and it’s our job to interpret the law, and we think it means that government shall not substantially burden a person’s exercise of religion even if the burden results from a rule of general applicability.”

Then you’re 80% comfortable with the outcome.
The HHS mandate requires companies to cover twenty different contraception methods. Hobby Lobby is perfectly fine covering sixteen of them, but objects to covering the four that the FDA says have a chance of preventing the implantation of an embryo, which they regard as human life.

I’m spoilering this because it’s off-topic and I don’t mean to distract from the OP’s goal:

The opinion in Hobby Lobby most assuredly will be applied all forms of contraception–absolutely nothing about it could justify limiting it to the four forms to which Hobby Lobby objected. The smokescreen about this only being about 4/16 is nothing more than propaganda.
That said, the liberal propaganda here has been pretty bad too. The Court was willing to assume that the government had a compelling interest in providing access to contraception. So they were only willing to give Hobby Lobby a pass because Hobby Lobby showed that the government would be able to provide it for free regardless of Hobby Lobby’s involvement. According to the Court, not a single woman will lose free access to any contraception as a result of the decision. And if the Court is wrong, then the next challenge will come out differently.
Finally, because Bricker mentions the science briefly, it is true that the FDA said years ago (and hasn’t updated it’s statement) that we didn’t know for sure whether these drugs and devices prevent implantation, and so says they may do so. The current scientific evidence is that they probably do not prevent implantation, at least not at rates higher than side effects for other drugs. And no one thinks they are _intended_ to do so, which many people understand to be the relevant fact to this theological issue. [/spoiler]
