…and two Wrongs still don’t make a Right.
This is the second or third time you’ve accused me of something that’s not accurate. While I hated Clinton and his entire corrupt Presidency with a passion, I did not necessarily want him to lose against Dole, despite him being a native Kansan and family friend, as Dole was too old, too out of touch, and had no clear message. I actually wanted Perot to win. In addition, I tend to follow the George Will policy of “gridlock is good” in that for me an ideal circumstance was a strong Republican Congress and a Strong Democratic President. Or vice-versa.
Furthermore, the Impeachment was after the mid-term election, so Clinton was a lame duck President anyhow - he had little to lose by showing honour and dignity. And in further addition, I didn’t vote for Bush, either Senior nor Junior, any election.
I’m not sure this is productive any more.
