Terry Pratchett’s _Discworld_ series has focused on– [ul] [li]Cops[/li][li]War[/li][li]Postmen[/li][li]Death[/li][li]Australia[/li][li]Gods[/li][li]Religion[/li][li]Motion Pictures[/li][li]Silly things.[/li][/ul] Inspired by [THIS THREAD](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=5842956#post5842956), I’d like to see him take a look at sports/sports fans/football/soccer. What would you hope to see him address? 🙂 ---

Pratchett’s filled in most of the geography of the top side of Discworld. What’s on the bottom? Perhaps he could collaborate with Niven on ‘The Discworld Engineers’. ---

Come on, there’s hordes of countries completely unwritten about. Personally, I’d like another assassin book, though there’s lots of other minor guild characters who could get a staring role. ---

I think Pterry may build up to sports, but they’ve barely made a blip, aside from Capt. Carrot and the street youths in Jingo. I’m a tad behind-- haven’t read Wee Free Men, Hat Full of Sky, or Going Postal, but I gather they’re send-ups of rebellion and bureaucracy. It’s more a question of what he _hasn’t_ written about yet. Guns? Check. Rock n roll? Check Shopping? Check News? Check Immigration? Check Sports and Fitness would _have_ to involve Carrot, but do you really need Pterry to write about CMOT Dibbler selling WristMasters? ---

I’d like to see a Susan/ Watch teamup. Considering all the strange creatures in the Watch already, Death’s granddaughter would be right at home. And/Or I would like to see Granny Weatherwax meet Lord Vetinari. ---

Nope. I’m with Lumpy on this one. **More Granny, more Susan!** I think we are going to see more books like the last one, with major characters in supporting roles and new characters emerging. He is exploring the whole Industrial Revolution, after all. 😛 ---

A Granny/Susan/Death book would be good. I think Granny Weatherwax could easily face down death in the proper circumstances. Though I liked Going Postal a lot, I’m a bit tired of giving Discworld one more thing modern Earth has. I’d love a good Rincewind book, but I fear pTerry has moved beyond him. I bet we are going to get a Same Vimes does diplomacy book. His role in Monstrous Regiment (which I did not like) was very interesting, and I’d like more of that kind of stuff, as Ankh-Moorpork becomes more like England. Eventually, I think, Tiffany might move into the mainstream of the stories, but it won’t be for a while yet. And don’t diss my honey Susan! 🙂 I fell for her when, in Hogfather, she instead of telling the kids there were no monsters under the bed, dragged out the monsters and showed them who’s boss. ---

How could I ever like someone who doesn’t believe in the unreal things? She is way too literal, and quite frankly, too much of a bitch. I understand that some people somehow manage to like her, though. 😉 ---

The cow had kicked the pregnant mother and Granny played for the right to choose whether the mother or the baby lived. She also probably saved the cow by telling Nanny to make sure that the father didn’t kill it. Granny’s tough. . ---

For that matter, how about one where we find out how Vimes was “brung low by the bottle and by a woman.” The woman may be Ankh-Morpork, but seeing Vimes lose his idealism and start the slide would be interesting, especially when Pterry adds his usual history and complications. Perhaps it coincides with the begining of the rise of Vetenari… ---

You guys should check out the L-Space information on [Thud](http://www.au.lspace.org/books/apf/thud.html). Expect a few Buffy/Hammer-Horror references. I’ve also seen some spectuation that the Watch is going to go to custard, but I can’t seem to remember where I found it.
