I’m a bit of a news junkie and am looking for something I can tape to keep up with international goings-on. ---

Some cable systems carry SCOLA which carries news programming via satellite from all over the world. I’m lucky to have it on my cable system, courtesy of the local university. But these news shows are in their native languages, and rarely subtitled. News World International is carried on DSS systems, it carries a wide variety of international news programs in English. But forget cable, use the web for video on demand. My favorite is BBC, available free, just install Quicktime and it’s just a click away. ---

I like the BBC World News.
