I heard it on TV two nights ago but it didn’t take up permanent residency in my brain until this morning. I tried singing it in a failed attempt to exorcise it, but that served only to get my dogs a-howling’. ---

Rockin’ Robin. My Uncle called this morning and as always when he got off the phone he had to sing it. He has always done this just to annoy me since my name is Robyn. I got off the phone and stormed around for awhile then while making the lunch I caught myself singing it. Now my son is singing it too. It’s better than yesterday I suppose, yesterday it was Rock Me Amedeus. ---

Funny you should ask…but for the last couple days I’ve had this Xmas song stuck in my head and I don’t even know what it is. I’m positive I never heard it until this year, but it sounds like an oldish/1950’s type song. I was trying to sing some of it for my husband to see if he knew it and he was cracking up at the absurdity of it and didn’t believe me when I told him it was a real song and I kept hearing it in stores all month. Lyrics are along the lines of: Well it’s the holiday season… (it’s the holiday season…) And Whoop-de do\* and dickory dock and a christmas tree, and santa’s knee etc, etc also something about old saint Nick, and a peppermint stick. - I swear to God the guy sings “Whoop-de doo!” Isn’t that crazy? It’s all bouncy and swing-ey like “holly, jolly Christmas” but I have no idea who sings it or what the name is. I’m randomly dl’ing songs off Napster trying to find it so I can MAKE IT GO AWAY! ---

My son rented a heap of Pokemon videos last week, right before the big snowstorm. Since it was too cold to get out much, he watched them repeatedly. I can’t get the Pokemon theme song out of my head! I was in the next room, at my computer, but I heard it often enough that it burned its way into my subconscious…“Gotta Catch 'em All…” \Please, make it go away.\ ---
