I recently decided to watch the home video I shot at Disney last year. Now I can’t get the tune from the Electric Light Parade out of my head, although, it does bring back happy memories. Mr Sandman often gets stuck in my head as well - always been a favourite of mine. ---

Damn…after receiving an e-mail telling me that **Just a Girl** had replied to this thread, I got No Doubt’s song of the same name in my head. Hey, but anything’s better than that “Polly Wolly Doodle” song. At least I like this new song. ---

On the first part of the journey I was lookin at all the life there were plants and birds and rocks and things there was sand and hills and rings The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz and the sky with no clouds the heat was hot and the ground was dry but the air was full of sound I’ve been thru desert on a horse with no name it felt good to be out of the rain in the desert you can’t remember your name cuz there aint no one for to give you no pain La la la la … A coworker was hummin’ this tune this morning and I’ve been hummin’ and singing it all day. 🙂 ---

Oh, good. I thought having music being stuck in my head during dreams was odd. Now I know it is. Anyway, in my dream I was singing “Wrong Number” by The Cure. When I woke up I couldn’t get it out of my head. I then downloaded “20th Century Boy” by Placebo. I did this because I love that part in **Velvet Goldmine**. That song was stuck in my head. Then I watched **Miss Congeniality**. She said something about “solar plexus” which got me started on “Hang on to your IQ” by Placebo. “Roll another for breakfast, burning clouds around and in my solar plexus.” None of these songs are awful. Just the fact that they are stuck in my head can get annoying. ---

Ugh… not a whole song… just a line… from a commercial for Shirley Temple videotapes. ‘animal crackers in my soup, most of them rabbits loop-da-loop.’ Needless to say, I was not happy about that. Then I heard ‘Pink’ by Aerosmith, on of my favorites, so that helped. Then I had ‘swwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet emooooooootiooooon’ stuck in my head (two for tuesday, you know). But it’s over now. Ew, Neil Diamond. That’s even worse than Shirley Temple. -shudder- ---

“Why Do You Lie?” by Colin James… simply because I’ve gotten it loaded up right now. Up next, some Ry Cooder then some Chris Isaak from his Baja sessions. If I am going to have music stuck in my head this is the stuff to have. For the most part it’s the instrumental parts that stick.
