I’ve got this mp3 on an old CD that somebody gave me. I can’t identify the song or the band, and a google search on the lyrics seems, surprisingly, to turn up nothing. Maybe I’m mishearing the lyrics but usually google can work around that as long as I’m in the right ballpark.

It’s kind of an indie pop sounding song.

The lyrics I can remember go something like this:

> [@](#):
>
> Don’t you know who I am?
> I’m a very important man.
> Sorry I have to go,
> but I’ll be too late for the show.
> There’s people waiting there
> though I don’t really care.
> Simply have to be presented,
> have to meet my agent.

Something like that.

Ringing any bells?

Found it, it’s from the album discussed at [this link](http://twentysevenviews.wordpress.com/2007/06/25/velour-undress-your-alibis/). Band: Velour. Song: Pam and the Important Man.
