Great call. I agree with this wholeheartedly. It’s sound would have been popular early on right up until today.
I think The Archies "Sugar Sugar’ would have done well from 1950 at least until the 90’s. It was used in the Bee Movie which tells me it’s still useful today.
“Stand By Me” is timeless.

Love songs are often timeless, as opposed to, say, a song protesting the Vietnam War.
Something like: The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, would probably be a hit if it were first cut today. [Four Dead in] Ohio, not so much.
