The U.K. number 1 on the 16th January 1977 was ‘Don’t Give Up On Us’ by David Soul. The U.S. number 1 on the 16th January 1977 was ‘You Make Me Feel Like Dancing’ by Leo Sayer. And my supposed ‘Life Theme’: The U.S. number 1 on the 16th January 1995 was ‘Here Comes the Hotstepper’ by Ini Kamoze. The U.K. number 1 on the 16th January 1995 was ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ by Rednex. I’ve heard 2 of those songs (You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and Cotton Eye Joe). I dislike them both. I haven’t even heard of ‘Here Comes the Hotstepper’ and only heard of ‘Don’t Give Up On Us’ because I asked about it in the other tread… Really, really sad… ---

Wow - I have the exact same results as **Francesca**! Rod Stewart in the US and Blondie in the UK. Sadly, I wasn’t born in the UK… I hope that at least my parents didn’t listen to Rod Stewart. 18th Birthday song in the US, just for kicks, was “Un-Break My Heart” by Toni Braxton.
