_Do your ears hang low
Do they wobble to and fro
Can you tie 'em in a knot
Can you tie 'em in a bow
Can you throw 'em over your shoulder
Like a continental soldier
Do your ears hang low?_
_My Gal’s a corker
She’s a New Yorker
I buy her everything to keep her in style.
She’s got a pair of hips
Just like two battle ships
Yeah man, that’s where my money goes._

Thank you for helping to clear up a decades- old mystery for me.A buddy of mine sang a song ,back in the 60s , with those lines in it. Although I can’t recall if he said as much , he gave the impression that those lines , and others - such as “She’s got a big, long nose - just like a garden hose” were his own invention.Since I know you aren’t him (my buddy died last year) I finally know that ,if not you , then someone other than he thought them up.

Getting back to O.P. - One summer in Boy Scout camp we got pretty good at singing “The Age of Aquarius”. We also had a rather raunchy chant that I’ll post only if requested.

I’m requesting, please. 😉 Just think of it as your contribution to the dying American oral tradition. It’s for the sake of anthropology!

Damn, we sang more then a few of these at Camp Storer. The best one we sang was when the coucilers were not about. I can’t remember much of it, hopefully someone will know it and refresh my memory. There was about 4 verses to it but I can only remember one. It’s about a Square Dance. I hope no one os offended by the content.

Chorus
Balls to your partner, ass against the wall.
If you don’t get laid on Saturday night you won’t get laid at all

Verse
The town Whore, she was there lying on the floor
When she opened he legs, the suction closed the door!

O.K.
Out pops Willie from the coconut grove
He’s a real live fucker - you can tell by his pose.
He once lined a hundred girls against the wall
And bet ten dollars he could fuck them all.
He got to ninety-eight and he had to stop -
The friction was too much , and his balls got hot.

Old Willie died , and he went to Hell
He fucked the Devil , and His wife as well.
Up on his tombstone , written in green
Says “Here lies Willie - the Fuckin’ Machine”!

Our counselor was named Skeeter, so to the tune of _If You’re Happy And You Know It_, we’d sing…

_There’s a Skeeter on my peter
Knock it off
There’s a Skeeter on my peter
Knock it off
There’s a Skeeter on my peter
And his brother’s even sweeter
There’s a Skeeter on my peter

I went a variety of camps and have a darn good memory, so I remember a wide variety of songs. The one that seems to be the most unique was localized entirely (as far as I know) to **Camp Oljato** , a boy scout camp a few hours outside the SF bay area.

It’s called _Mary Had a Little Lamb_\*, but its melody and rhythm is in no way related to the traditional song of the same name.

It goes like this:

Oh, Mary had a little lamb, with fleece as white as snow, hey!
Shouting out the battle cry of freedom
And everywhere that Mary went, that lamb was sure to go, hey!
Shouting out the battle cry of freedom

chorus:
Hurrah for the Mary!
Hurrah for the lamb!
Hurrah for the teacher,
Who wouldn’t give a particle.
If all the lambs in region 12 went marching off to school, hey!
Shouting out the battle cry of freedom

There are tons of verses, but they all share the “hey!” on the end of each line and the interjected "shouting out the battle cry of freedom"s.

Some favorites include:
Mary had a little lamb, she fed it castor oil
And every time it jumped the fence it fertilized the soil

Mary had a little lamb, she kept it in the closet
And every time she let it out, it left a little deposit

Mary had a little lamb, she also had a duck
She put them on the table, to see if they would fall

Mary had a little car, and it was painted red
And everywhere that Mary went, the cops picked up the dead

Mary had a bathing suit, and it was very airy
It didn’t help her much to swim, but it showed a lot of Mary

Mary had a little lamb, she also had a bear
Now often I have seen her lamb, but I’ve never seen her bare

Mary had a little lamb, the doctors were astounded
And everywhere that Mary went, gynecologists surrounded

Mary had a little lamb, the doctors were surprised
But when Old McDonald had a farm, you should have seen their eyes
And the final verse:
Mary had a little lamb, her father shot it dead
So now she takes that lamb to school between two hunks of bread

I remember a version of **Mary Has a Little Lamb** (though not from camp) that went:

Mary had a little lamb
She also had a bear
And everywhere that Mary went
You could see her bare behind

There was also a song whose name I don’t remember that went:

We are the girls from Starlight revue
We’ll take it off and show it to you
We’ve got style, we’ve got class
We like to wiggle our big—toe!

And another one whose name I don’t recall, and that I never heard anywhere else:

Oh, oh, oh, oh, in the moonlight
I want to hold your hand (repeat)

Like all the little bearsies, all the little beesies
Always go in pairsies, never go in threesies

Oh, oh, oh, oh, in the moonlight
I want to hold your hand.

> We also sang \*\*Juvenile Delinquent \*\* and **Boom Boom, Ain’t it Great to be Crazy,** both of which had lyrics just suggestive enough that we were told not to teach them to the Brownies.

Your camp must have had raunchier **Boom Boom** lyrics than the ones I learned:

\*A horse and a flea and three blind mice
Sat in a barnyard shotin’ dice
The horsie slipped and fell on the flea
“Whoops!” said the flea. “There’s a horsie on me!”

(chorus)

Boom boom, ain’t it great to be crazy?
Boom boom, ain’t it great to be crazy?
Silly and foolish all day long
Boom boom, ain’t it great to be crazy?

Way down south where bananas grow
A flea stepped on an elephant’s toe
The elephant cried with tears in his eyes,
“Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?”

(Repeat Chorus, new verse, repeat chorus, etc.)\*

I just remembered another favourite at Guide Camp. The Second Story Window

It went:

The window the window
The second story window
If you don’t know what it’s about
We’ll throw you out the window!

Hickory dickory dock,
The mouse ran up the clock,
The clock struck one and we
threw him out the window

[Chorus]
Marry had a little lamb
It’s fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
We threw him out the window

[Chorus]

and so on and so forth. You had to split the camp into 2 groups and we’d go back and forth. You weren’t allowed to repeat nursery rhymes and you could go on as long as the rhymes were not done a second time or we got sick of it (or the leaders got sick of hearing us yelling at the top of our lungs back and forth)

I learned a slightly different version of the worm song.

Nobody likes me
Everybody hates me,
I guess I’ll go eat wo-o-rms.

Long ones, short ones,
Fat ones, skinny ones.
Itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie little wo-o-rms.

First you bite the heads off.
Then you suck the blood out.
Then you throw the skins a-way-a-ai.

Nobody knows
How I survive
On worms three times a day-a-ai!

My husband was SHOCKED when I passed this and “Miss Mary” onto my daughters. Can you tell he has never been to sleep-away camp? I can’t wait until he hears some of the ones from this thread! I could use a little help though…my memory is a little foggy on a song I’d like to teach the girls. It started out with something along the lines of:

Every morning at half past 8 I say eewie-eewie-eewie to Miss Bates.

It ends with a window coming down on her head, chopping it off. The final line is something along the lines of “off goes her head…eewie-eewie-eewie”. Any help out there?

**Sternvogel,** our camp’s version of **Boom Boom** had a verse that went:

Now I lay me down to sleep
With the boy across the street
Won’t my mommy be surprised
When she sees my little tummy rise!
