What stories would you like to see continued?

Not as much as Son of Godzilla

:smack:
I should have known that from the play that has been advertising for almost 7 years.

I would like to see National Treasure 3.

I’d like to see more League of Peoples books by James Alan Gardner.

I’ve noticed that when we watch a series beginning-to-end, either streaming or on DVD, I always want more after the finale.
*Star Trek *and *Eureka *most notably.

Nicholas Montsarratt wrote a 2-part novel about a time-travelling sailor who winds up in all the important moments in British/American naval history. The first part - the Master Mariner - is epic and magnificent.

Unfortunately he died before completing the second part - Darken Ship. What we have is the first chapter (which concerns the Atlantic Slave trade), and his outlines for the following chapters. His widow contributed a great foreword/preface which detailed his research techniques and his overall plans for the book.

It’s spelled out, albeit rather symbolically, in Revelation. Lotsa bad shit, then a happy ending for the faithful.
Didn’t want to give away the ending for anyone who hasn’t read it.

Another famous naval series is the Horatio Hornblower novels by C.S. Forester. And like Montsarratt, Forester died in the middle of writing a book, which was published as an unfinished work. This unfinished book, Hornblower and the Crisis, was based on Hornblower’s role in the Battle of Trafalgar so it may have been intended as the climax of the series.

Fire and Fury, I’m eager to read how the nightmare ends.

I’d like more books in Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Jean Lorrah’s Sime/Gen series.

Also, the next Dresden Files book, but I don’t think that qualifies as a “short” series anymore.

I remain slightly curious about what happened after the finale of Deep Space Nine, to the station and whoever stayed aboard it.

He finished the series with Saint Odd.

Martin Jerrold did three novels of a nautical Flashman which I enjoyed. Upon complementing them, he wrote that his publisher killed the series.

I was really hoping for a second movie but with Anton Yelchin’s unfortunate and untimely death I don’t expect it. The movie was excellent and the hero was next asked to carry the idiot ball which never seems to happen in horror movies.

I’d like to have the rest of the books in Rosemary Edghill’s The Twelve Treasures series. She only got to write three of them for some reason. And I’d also like the Gwydion books that Patricia Kennealy-Morrison planned to round out the Keltiad series.
