Now, whether you hear a lot about this and Rezko three months from now really depends. If we do, Iā€™d almost think thatā€™s a good sign; that means nothingā€™s come up that the opposition can harp on to any better effect. ---

The Audacity of a Dope. Let us count the ways: NEW REALITIES! BROAD FRONTIERS! Well, although this IS politics the truth is not unheard of even in this filthy realm. The truth is not only stranger than fiction, it can be shown that when when the media pick our candidates, the candidate often IS the fiction. Sorta like Avril Lavigne. Obama is an empty suit who uses Orwellian platitudes of the type long ago we were warned against. Like ā€œaudacityā€ ā€œaspirationsā€ ā€œStand shoulder to shoulderā€ Not to mention that he apparently has some odd notions about how to nix the terror lords (like running away with your knickers crammed up your bum). Elsewhere, Robert Samuelson has some pointers for the confused on the economics of all this. Iā€™m not exactly happy that John McCain thinks, as did Bush and the repubs and dems alike (for their own sordid reasons) that this nation is to be a giant parking lot for illegal immigrants, but still, McCain is mostly a known element. Thereā€™s some meat left in that pumpkin and heā€™s had less a life of coddling (which you donā€™t get much of in the Hanoi Hilton when they dang wang fanged your toenails) and understands the enemies of this nation actually mean business.
