Not sure why people think that TCM, or any channel, is supposed to appeal to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ---

Heh, we watched Godard’s _Weekend_ last month, and when I told my sister to have the dvr record _Alphaville_ she was very hesitant. I told her it’s not the same. I mostly like Godard, but _Weekend_ was really something else. ---

They sometimes show really bad semi-old movies, like “The Garbage Pail Kids Movie” or a Canadian bomb called “Heavenly Bodies.” Len Maltin said of the latter, “The first Aerobics Musical, and with any luck, the last.” ---

Not really. I think the TCM host was being nice when he said, “It was supposed to be the next _Saturday Night Fever_, but that didn’t happen.” Plenty of disco music that I haven’t heard in years though, so there’s that. ---

Agree that she could not skate. Plenty of others could, though, but I guess they didn’t have the star power. “Linda, you’ve been cast as the lead in a roller skating movie. Have you ever roller skated? No? Well, you better learn on the double-quick.” And it showed. ---

I never tried to watch “Saturday Night Fever” until a few years ago. I didn’t even last 15 minutes; it was terrible! Glad I didn’t pay money to watch that sludge. ---
