I was boggled the first time I saw it. I almost wanted to rub my eyes because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Then I just started laughing hysterically. ---

It is a bad idea for a commercial… on the other hand, when I see it it reminds me how yummy Quizno’s is and how they beat the living crap out of Subway and (here in California) Togo’s. ---

If the guy wasn’t wearing the same business suit while sucking wolf tit, I’d like the commercial. I realize that’s looking for more logic than I should be looking for in a commercial, but it still bugs me. ---

I love Quizno’s subs, and I agree that they need to fire their advertising agency and the bozo who hired that agency and keeps OK’ing the commercials. There was one a long time ago where a guy comes home and greedily unwraps his delicious Quizno’s sub, obviously excited about getting all up in some toasty goodness. Somehow the buy’s dog grabs the sandwich, runs away, and kinda mauls and chews on it until it looks like a still somewhat organized pile of sandwich fixings. Now the freaky part–the guy picks the sandwich up off the floor and kinda shrugs, then, while facing the camera, **he takes a big bite out of the nasty dog-mauled floor-dragged carcass of a Quizno’s sub!** I couldn’t eat there for weeks after seeing that shit. Also, need I mention that the guy had the same creepy, psycho homeless (but newly) look that all Quizno’s commercials’ actors seem to have? I think the message still would have come across in a much less gross way if the guy would have turned away from the freaking camera and then taken a bite. ---

I think they pulled it. I’ve seen the one where all the wolf cubs are licking him, but I agree…suckling at a wolf’s teat just made me swear off Quizno’s for ever. Also, I think Raised by Wolf Guy is the same guy who works for his dad but Didn’t Use Fed Ex. ---

I’m pretty sure that Cliff Freeman & Partners was the agency that did the wolf-suckling ad, and Quizno’s recently switched agencies. So they’re already fired. But I don’t think it was the wolf ad in particular that prompted the change. ---

It is important to note this is not the first of Quizno’s ad troubles: the most questionable of the lot, titled “Were You Born in a Barn?”, set inauspiciously to break around Christmas, never even made it to the timeslots. With regard to the OP, as True Romans, my family and I have been _most_ offended by Quizno’s cavalier use of one of our cherished and enduring images. The very banks of the Tiber have been sullied by this cheapshot for quick laughs. (In fact, I suspect it was our pending legal action that forced them to dump their agency and pull the ads.) ---

Quizno’s sandwichers are delicious and that commercial makes me giggle every time I see it (plus I think the actor is hot) What makes me is the reply after the flashback, “Yes, I was. (thoughtful expression)” Comedy gold. ---

I must be the only one out there that thinks that Quizno’s is awful. I do agree though that just about anyone who can make a sandwich will make one better than Subway. ---

We don’t have Quizno’s, but if we did, I wouldn’t eat there after seeing that commercial. We have Subway and Schlotzky’s (overpriced cardboard) around here. ---

Quizno’s rocks, but ist’s not as good as Jersey Mike’s. I also like Blimpie and put Subway last. Never tried Togo though. Maybe I will, there is one around here. Never seen the ad on television, but I saw it on the net somewhere. Meh. I don’t watch ads. ---

I like the commercial, whatever else you can say about it you DO remember it. It sorta reminds me of those Mike’s Hard Lemonade commercials, which I also like. ---
