tl;dr **Huey** is a ableist, racist bastard. In the Black Lives Matter Omnibus thread, **Huey** has an extremely odd and offensive fascination with autism. I struggle to name how many levels of wrong this is. It’s also ignorant as fuck, because he can’t be arsed to actually understand the term and everything it entails. Here’s an example of **Huey-speak** where he defends his claim that autism is caused by inbreeding. Oh yeah, also white people are evil. He even gets around to the “one drop” rule, but doesn’t seem to realize that he is arguing the same thing. It’s a complete and utter lack of empathy and compassion that, in my view, has its roots in autism, selfishness, evilness, or a combination thereof. From slavery and the trail of tears to the separation of children from their parents, white folks show time and time again that they have no empathy. If you bring up slavery, we’re told that it’s OK because there were “African slavers” (no, really, this has been said); if you bring up the Trail of Tears, we’re told that it’s OK because of “historical relativism” (no, really, this has been said); if you bring up children being separated from their families, we’re told it’s OK because the it’s really a “day camp” (no, really, this has been said). If a white man who shoots up a school, an open-air concert, an elementary school, or a church, we’re told it’s OK because the dead, accused, or survivors are “crisis actors” or that the event “didn’t happen” (no, really, this has been said). The surety white folks have in their alternative facts are impenetrable. In the end, the high rates of autism in white families is the curse of white supremacy and whiteness. It also begs the question whether it is possible to have a vibrant, functioning democracy without compassion, empathy, or some degree of empathetic leadership. White folks desire to be sequestered and isolated from people of color is so strong, their attraction to white features so implacable, that white folks are willing to produce and rear a disabled white child rather than mate with a person of color and produce a neurotypical/normal child. > > One more thing, white folks: Your children are more racist than you. Your hands-off approach to parenting is due, in part, to the fact that your daughter is a person of color. While it is clear you and your racist, cross-burning family never cared from the get-go, I implore you to stop posting, pick up the phone and start spending some fucking quality time with your imported daughter. Thank you. These quotes barely scratch the surface of **Huey** ’s obsession with autism and his ludicrous notions of race. Fuck off, asshole. I await your accusations of racism with bated breath. ---

People sometimes say “But what about the anti-white racism!” when there are complaints about racism on the boards. I have no problems with losing both, or at least seeing them both modded more directly. At which point is this just not adding to the community in any positive way? Also, he’s marginalizing the difficulties of autistic black people in the US, who exist but frequently struggle to get adequate diagnosis and therapy, so he’s being awful to lots of groups. ---

Having been reading his thread for a little while, I have come to the following conclusion: Huey Freeman is an undergraduate Race/Ethnic/African-American studies student who is writing an honors thesis titled something like _White Folks on the Internet: Privilege and Perception._ It will not be a good paper. ---

The moderators would not be afraid to ban him though. They may need some time to investigate if people think there’s a case for that. It’s some of the members who have shown they are predisposed to keeping his message alive at any cost wishing the protestations of its ugliness to be quarantined elsewhere who maybe would be afraid of that, depending on their interpretation of and regard for board rules. The moderators are more objective. ---
