{RANT MODE: ON} I have **HAD IT** with some of these idiots on this whole gay marriage issue. Are people so tied up in their own little worlds that they choose to remain blind to discrimination? Are politicians so concerned with staying in Washington that they’ll vote any which way they think will get them re-elected? Jesus Christ - we don’t even have sufficient health care, and they’re going to make a constitutional amendment about burning the fucking flag? Give me a break! When is someone going to stand up and do something that’s **right** instead of just doing something that’s popular? Please, God, let Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond **DIE** already! And these radical religious wack-os - “Gays marrying will destroy the sacrament of marriage! They’ll destroy society! They won’t procreate!” You know, the church says sex is bad, then says its all that matters - no wonder our society is so fucked up. If two people want to get into a committed relationship, let 'em - whose business is it of anyone else’s? How does this hurt anyone else? For Christ’s sake, there’s only 10% at most of us anyway - do you really think we’re going to topple the government and paint the White House lavendar? Fuck you and your “domestic partnership” bullshit! Land of the free? NOT FUCKING LIKELY! Some idiot says “family is all about blood and genes.” Well I got news for you - there are a thousand different kinds of “families” in this world, and to spit on every one that isn’t man/wife/2.5 kids/dog is the most racist, bigoted, self-serving, hateful thing I’ve heard in a long, long time. I am _lucky_ that I had a stable home life, but when I think about all those unwanted children, unplanned pregnancies, divorces, cheating spouses, ad nauseum, all I can think is any break a person can get in life they should jump on and never let go, and I don’t fucking care if its with someone of the same sex, adopting a child, living with your parents, whatever - it comes down to allowing someone to have some love in their life without all of the self-righteous small-minded bigots of the world saying, “Well, I don’t understand it, so it must be wrong - stop doing it!” And worse, like sheep, so many other otherwise good-minded people go along with it. What was that quote - “Nothing is so wrong as right-minded people who stand aside and do nothing?” Something like that. Well, sometimes it rings true. Fuck, on [vote.com](http://vote.com) gay marriages won an approval rating of like 55% - what the fuck is wrong with people that they can’t even take the time to think about it and say, “Hey, maybe we _should_ give equal rights to everyone?” What a concept, you MINDLESS MORONIC FUCKING SHEEP! Um, hello? Reality check? Blacks get killed, faggots get bashed, women get raped, and white men get rich day-trading on the internet. Does **anyone** see a problem with this? I was raging at the world, man! 🙂 My point was there is a lot of obvious injustice in the world and too many influential people turn a blind eye. Okay, so I guess it’s 2000 now, and that means it’s time to refresh the list of who it’s socially acceptable to hate : **Okay to Hate :** Homosexuals (BIG time) Fat women Those damn druggies Communists, and to a lesser extent, Socialists Blacks (South only) Mexicans (South - Southwest only) ## **Not Okay to Hate (but was 50 years ago) :** Blacks Japanese Women in general Anybody who isn’t Christian Germans Eye-talians Ain’t all just silly? Of course gay marriage should be legal. I mean why the hell not? Give me one good reason **without quoting the bible**. A world without hate would require a MASSIVE influx of IQ points, and I just don’t see that happening any time soon. Oh well … ---
