yes, for very small values of hundreds of thousands.
This article suggested the first group of birds died in the confusion of fireworks and the 2nd group of birds died from power lines. If that were the case we would have seen this repeated multiple times each year during the holidays when fireworks are prevalent. And the same observation applies to power lines.
Tornado or some other high-energy weather event would make much more sense.
