Yeah, old Cosmo is pretty chill (and by “chill” I’m mean spectacularly lazy). It might have seemed to strenuous at the time to prick up his ears. or move. or turn his head.

The Hum(?)
Very interestink! I don’t think what I heard (or imagined) would be considered low frequency. It was fairly high pitched and very much, how do I put it. . . it didn’t seem like it was off in the distance or that I was just hearing part of it (like when you can only hear the bass in a song that’s being played far away. Sorry, I don’t know the correct terms). It sounded like it was coming from overhead and I really expected people to come running out of their houses. Quite surreal.
A couple of things that have since occurred to me: there was a concert in a nearby park that I could hear pretty clearly. The noise thing happened about an hour after it ended. Maybe it was related to the sound equipment. Like a case of the loudest, longest feedback in history(?) Another thing is there’s a big auto race that starts in a couple of days and you can hear the most ungodly sounds when that’s on. Seems a long shot that they’d be doing anything with that at that time of night with the race still being several days away though.
Possibly a street sweeper cleaning up after the concert?
