# What the Hell Actually Gets out Red Wine?

Ok, I’ve spilled red wine on my sofa- I know white wine is not going to work. Any suggestions?

Try club soda and salt. I’ve seen that mentioned in several places, including [here](http://www.housecleaningcentral.com/en/cleaning-tips/stain-removal/remove-red-wine-stain.html).

Use one of the oxy-cleaners. The oxygen bleach does very well on red stains.

I"m sure the stain has set or been removed but here is something to try for next time. When I get a stain on my clothes I would use 2/3 H202 @3% and 1/3 dish soap. Kept it in a spray bottle. Spray, use elbow grease, wash.  
Worked a treat every time.

I have used what mother nature supplies us and it always works. soak the stain with water lay a cloth towel on top of the stained carpet and step on the towel in some type of pumping action. It is just like backspacing on your computer.
