They’ve always struck me as adult toys that accidentally (oh, if _only_!) got shifted over to the pee-wee set. It’s not so much that they’re “whorish”, per se; it’s that they’re age-inappropriate. I could certainly see me and the sisters-in-law playing with them. But children don’t need to play “hooker fantasy” just yet. ---

Their faces have unrealistic proportions, eyes too big, lips not nature made, (That’s the “bee stung lip” look, it goes beyond the natural, beautiful large lips I’ve seen.) and no noses. They are ugly. ---

One month she’s a doctor, the next she’s a ballerina, then a ballerina and so on. I always figured she was a chronic ne’er-do-well and just got fired from job after job. ---

Clearly, it looks like there’s something _totally_ fucked up with Barbie. Either she’s being stalked by Ken, _or_ Ken’s gay, Barbie’s obsessed with him, and thinks that by becoming a high powered career woman who outranks him, she can force him into falling in love with him. Hmmm, Barbie guilty of sexual harassment? ---
