Ramos was out of line there, but Trump showed indecision by letting Ramos in later. But the report is clear about what did happen early:

> [@](#):
>
> Univision reporter Jorge Ramos was forceably removed by security at Donald Trump’s press conference before his Iowa rally on Tuesday.

It is clear that what for the other reporters that Trump was looking like a chicken if Ramos was not allowed to ask questions, then Trump relented.

Thanks to **even sven** for bringing this up.

As someone whose parents immigrated to the US from Mexico, I guarantee that Trump as nominee would see unprecedented political activism from Latinos against him. He already has more than 50% net disapproval from Latinos, and this isn’t just because of being anti-Republican, since several Republican candidates are in positive territory and the next lowest, Ted Cruz, is at -7%.

Now Trump can talk about political correctness and straight talk all day long, and it might win him the nomination, but he’s just digging himself in deeper. His statements do not exist in isolation, and the Latino community, as diverse as it is, has pretty widespread experience and associations with what people who talk like that think and how they act. We don’t need white people’s permission to be offended.

Trump is at 35% in NH. Those “his ceiling is 25%” people keep getting it wrong.

Trump’s masterful handling of the Univision bumbling reporter will probably get him to 40%.

> His lead over the Republican primary field is growing.

While the Republican establishment has long been skeptical of Trump’s chances, one leading GOP pollster says he’s becoming a believer.

After a two-hour focus group on Monday evening, Frank Luntz expressed disbelief at how recordings of Trump’s political flip-flops and remarks on women did nothing to dissuade his supporters.

Luntz said it’s time for Republican leaders to “wake up” and realize the grassroots has “abandoned them.”

“You guys understand how significant this is?” Luntz asked reporters, according to Time. “This is real. I’m having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.”

Luntz had previously predicted the “destruction” of Trump’s candidacy after Fox News’s first debate in early August. But he now told reporters that the celebrity tycoon is here to stay, according to those who attended the focus group on Monday.

“Nothing disqualifies Trump,” he said.
…
But Lee Miringoff, the director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, told The Hill that Trump’s rise is unlike that of any candidate in recent memory.

“He’s broken every rule of the campaign consultant’s manual and to no ill effect,” he said.
Luntz is smart. He should not allow his personal feelings affect his work. I think he did - after the debate. He’s learning.

If one call masterful to lie to the American people, Trump knew who Jorge Ramos was but he told all that he did not. And then he also showed that he does not know that the birth right citizenship was already tested in the courts. His retort that he would deport people with humanity, and his other points remain an empty promise.

And when Ramos mentioned that the huge opposition Hispanics have against Trump showed that Trump is deluded that he will get the Hispanic vote, Trump did not deal with that, he just reminded to Ramos that he is part of the lawsuit that he has against Univision.

And yes, Trump did tell all with a straight face that he did not know who that reporter was, Trump helpfully demonstrated it was a lie when Trump knew early on to tell Ramos to go back to Univision.

Two possibilities for Trump’s apparent inconsistencies: one, Ramos was the only Hispanic reporter in the room; two, Ramos was wearing a Univision press pass. Each of these could identify him as a Univision reporter without Trump knowing who he was in a personal sense.

Not buying it, Gorge Ramos is well known in Univision, and right after Univision dropped Trump’s Miss Universe pageant, Trump mentioned Ramos directly when Trump told his followers on instagram that reporters like him were begging for interviews.

(Cite in Spanish with the instagram image)

So, Trump will lie (and keep doing it) and he will hope that his followers will ignore it.

As pointed before, a lot of very conservative family members are not going to vote for him, and bow it is more likely that they will join efforts to defeat Trump, what I have seen is indeed what it was a reactionary and conservative media group suddenly breaking ranks with the Republicans like Trump. So yeah, he is deluded too into thinking that most Hispanics will support him.

They already paid, and the country prospered, now about sending 11 million undocumented out:

>
> Quite a lot, a right-leaning policy organization found

> [@](#):
>
> Yet with conservatives still reeling from their defeat in a battle over immigration policy and security funding earlier this week, a right-leaning policy group is releasing a new report aimed at nudging the GOP back toward the center. The study, which the American Action Forum plans to publish later on Friday, tests a rather straightforward proposition frequently offered by opponents of comprehensive immigration reform: How much would it cost to “immediately and fully enforce current law”—that is, to deport all undocumented immigrants while preventing another wave of people from entering illegally?
>
> The answer, researchers found, is quite a lot, both to taxpayers and the economy more broadly. Removing all 11.2 million undocumented immigrants, both forcibly and through Mitt Romney’s infamous “self-deportation” policy, would take about 20 years and cost the government between $400 billion and $600 billion. The impact on the economy would be even larger, according to the study: Real GDP would drop by nearly $1.6 trillion and the policy would shave 5.7 percent off economic growth. Researchers Laura Collins and Ben Gitis also write that their estimates are conservative, since they do not include, for example, the cost of constructing new courts, prisons, and other buildings that might be needed to process and detain millions of immigrants.
> The study does not envision a new policy of mass deportation, with ICE agents rounding up immigrants in vans or going door-to-door to find them. Rather, researchers used the government’s own statement that it currently has the capacity to deport up to 400,000 immigrants annually (330,651 were removed in 2013) and asked what would happen if it actually did that, every year until the 11 million are gone. They also estimate that after the government announces a new policy of full enforcement, about 20 percent of the 11 million would leave voluntarily, leaving just about nine million that would need to be forcibly removed. “It still would be, I think, a shocking sight to the American people, to have the detentions, the deportations, the detention centers, the need for the administrative end of this,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the group’s president. “If you were to do it faster and have vans sweeping in, I think that would have the untenable feel of the police state to the American people. We didn’t look at that.”
>
> The American Action Forum is not some fringe group; it is well-entrenched in the establishment camp. Holtz-Eakin is a leading Republican economist who advised John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008. In 2013, he released a paper arguing that comprehensive reform would boost economic growth and reduce long-term deficits by $2.5 trillion. The group’s board includes Michael Chertoff, the former homeland security secretary who helped lead President George W. Bush’s immigration-reform push in 2006 and 2007. It also includes Elaine Chao, the labor secretary in the Bush administration and the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

So yeah, keep the good work and ensure that Trump will be the Republican candidate.

I really do think that if the contest is with Hillary vs Trump we will see a lot of “Hillary Republicans” joining hispanics and the women’s vote.

No, because nobody died when Clinton lied, [the lies made by the people like Trump](http://climatecrocks.com/2015/08/09/trumps-tweets-climate-denial-and-so-much-more/), who is on the record of denying human induced global warming among other things, will not be conductive to peace; but to a lot of suffering.
