# What the hell is wrong with horror movies these days?

Of course the director produced the [scariest](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117293/) [two](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0239894/) films I’ve ever seen, and both were documentaries.

I have to disagree completely with the OP.  
I think horror is finally getting back at the level it was before all this shocker/slasher-films corrupted the genre.  
\*The Ring [/I} is up there with _the Exorcist_ in my book.  
One of the first movies in a long, long time that actually was suspenseful.
